Frenchman's Bend Church in "Hand upon the Waters" (Location)

"Located in the V of the fork" of the dirt lane road that leads "back toward the hills" and at the top of a rise stands the church, "white-painted and steepleless" (75). Beside it is the graveyard where Lonnie Grinnup is buried. The text does not say what the denomination of this church is, but it is certainly one of Yoknapatawpha's main rural Protestant faiths - Baptist or Methodist or Presbyterian.
