Summary:
Appalled by Otis' account of the events back in Arkansas, Lucius instinctively attacks him, not stopping even when his hand is wounded by the knife that Otis pulls out. He is apparently defending both his own innocence and Miss Corrie's womanhood. The noise brings Corrie and Boon to the room; she tends to his injury and Boon expresses his admiration.
