Clarence leads Virgil and Fonzo three or four blocks to a brothel on "a narrow, dark street" (198). Clarence rings the bell and they are let in. Virgil and Fonzo see that there are only black prostitutes in this brothel. Clarence waves a banknote in Virgil's face and tells him "'This stuff is color-blind'" (199).
Summary:
