Kristi Humphreys

Kristi Humphreys is Assistant Professor of Critical Studies and Artistic Practice and Coordinator of the Fine Arts Doctoral Program at Texas Tech University. After completing a dissertation on Faulkner's lifelong interests in theatre under the direction of Theresa M. Towner at UTD, in addition to adapting six of his short stories to the stage, she has continued to pursue her love of Faulkner by presenting at the various Faulkner conferences both at Southeast Missouri State University and the Faulkner and Yoknapatawpha conferences at Ole Miss. Furthermore, she integrates Faulkner into her doctoral arts courses whenever possible, as her research is particularly interested in the interdisciplinary aspects of Faulkner's life and fiction.
